Biographies
 | Paul Standal, Ph.D., MFT
...has 30 years experience working in the fields of mental health, personal growth and relationship coaching. He specializes in marital and relationship conflict resolution related to substance abuse and recovery. He has been a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT) in California since 1982. He received his Ph.D. in psychology in 1994 through Union Institute of Psychology. As a clinical supervisor and trainer for 15 years, he has led seminars and workshops throughout California and Nevada in psychotherapeutic theory and technique. His latest articles are "The Experiencial Cycle" and "Stinkin Thinkin: Shift Happens." He has been married twenty years and has four children.

 | Kamala Allen, Ph.D., MFT
...has been in private practice since 1991, specializing in post-trauma, addictions, sexual and physical abuse recovery and conscious relationships. She received her Ph.D. in psychology in 1987 from California Institute of Integral Studies. In addition to being a licensed clinical psychologist, she is a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT), a certified substance abuse counselor (CSAC-II), and a certified practitioner of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Dr. Allen currently teaches ongoing relationship workshops for men, women and couples. Her forthcoming book, "A Woman' s Guide to Opening a Man's Heart" presents an effective and compassionate approach to resolving everyday relationship problems.

Our fees are based on a sliding scale. This means that they are negotiable based on your income and ability to pay.
Our customary fees for psychotherapy, consultations and assessments are:

- Dr. Paul Standal - $125/hr.
